Diabetes in the United States

In the course "Psychological and Behavioral Issues in Public Health" we have been learning about the various social and behavior theories.  One of our assignment is to create a social media campaign to raise awareness about a health indicator that is associated with a negative outcome in the United States.  I will be using this blog to create a campaign about diabetes.  I believe it is important to educate the general population about the seriousness of this disease.  This campaign will utilize infographic data to highlight its prevalenace in the United States.  Let us start with the basic statistics.
